Thursday November 19th, Picnic in the Park, Buescher Pavilion, 6:30 pm. Everyone is welcome to come out and visit with the Friends of the Lost Pines, get a update on both of our Parks, and eat supper with us...

Damage assessment is underway at Bastrop State Park and Buescher State Park for fire and flood damage. There will be several ways the Friends of the Lost Pines will be able to help once TPWD has a chance to review the damage and what will be needed. We know we will be playing a part in the recovery, just like the 2011 wild fires, so we need your help again.

Mission Statement

The mission of Friends is to assist Parks staff in the management and conservation of the natural and cultural resources of the Parks for the use and enjoyment of present and future generations. The mission of Friends is to be accomplished by enlisting and coordinating the involvement of citizens and organizations (Volunteers) wishing to assist the Parks. Friends' support may include providing information about the Parks and their resources to the public, assisting and educating visitors to the Parks, fund-raising to support special projects or general operations for the Parks, and, other activities which contribute to the care and conservation of the Parks.
