All programs are free after park entrance fees. For groups of 10 or more, please call ahead

Night Hike   •   Every Friday   •    8:30pm    •    Bastrop State Park

Join a naturalist to call owls, watch for bats, sniff out spiders and explore the park’s trails at night. Bring water and a flashlight, and wear good walking shoes. One mile, medium difficulty. Meet at the kiosk by the playground in July and the parking lot by the pool in August. Through August 20.

Paddle by Moonlight  •   July 24 • 8:30pm - 10:00pm • Buescher State Park

August 28  •   8:00pm - 9:30pm Locals Only: Sunday July 25  •  8:30pm - 10:00

Kayak and explore the calm waters of the Buescher State Park lake by moonlight. No experience necessary. No children under the age of 16. Boat, paddle and PFD are provided. Reservations required: call 512-237-2241 or email katie.raney@tpwd.state.tx.us.
